Like many businesses, we seek ways to become a part of our community and contribute to significant causes. The Columbus location of Eddie Merlot’s is in its second year of support for a terrific event called Wild Crush.
Jesica Kantner, sales manager of the Eddie Merlot’s Columbus location, has the following to say about the event:
This is the second year that we are participating in “Wild Crush” which benefits The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Eddie Merlot’s hosts the VIP tasting and reception from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. featuring light hors d’oeuvres that showcase some of our signature appetizers and dishes. In addition we also host a table at the grand tasting which goes from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The evening features live music, wine tasting (hosted by Glazer’s Distributing), a live auction and silent raffle, and hors d’oeuvres from restaurants around the city. All proceeds benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The event will be held on Friday April 1st, 2011 at St. Charles Preparatory School located at 2010 East Broad Street, Columbus, in the reception hall. Tickets can be purchased through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Central Ohio Chapter.
Tickets are $65 for general admission and $125 for VIP admission, which entitles you to enjoy our great food for an hour at a private reception prior to general admission.
Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide), according to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
In the 1950s, few children with cystic fibrosis lived to attend elementary school. Today, advances in research and medical treatments have further enhanced and extended life for children and adults with CF. Many people with the disease can now expect to live into their 30s, 40s and beyond.
We believe our participation in the event helps fund critical research for this disease, and we hope that you’ll consider joining us in this important effort. You’ve got a few months to buy tickets, but don’t wait. Mark your calendars for April 1 and buy a ticket now so you don’t miss this delicious opportunity to support a good cause.
