More new lounge menu items: baked goat cheese, panko tuna

Eddie Merlot’s new lounge menu is available and our ardent supporters (that’s you – thanks very much!) are tasting their way through it. We thought we’d give you a peek at a few more in an effort to tempt you into coming for a visit.

Our Baked Goat Cheese in Marinara is made for dipping and sharing, a terrific first dish for unwinding, chatting and killing out those initial hunger pains. Goat cheese is placed on top of our house marinara sauce and baked until the cheese is golden brown.  It is served with toast points and garnished with fresh chopped parsley.

Panko Encrusted Ahi Tuna

This dish was one of the hits of the Spring Prix Fixe menu, so we decided to add it to the Lounge Menu. Ahi tuna is breaded in panko bread crumbs and deep fried until golden brown. It is served on a bed of red and green cabbage tossed along in tuna Tartare sauce. The dish is drizzled with creamy wasabi, Chinese mustard, sesame seeds and cilantro sprigs. A nice, subtle kick is the best surprise in the dish. Not much heat, but lots of flavor.

One of the wonderful treats of our new Lounge Menu (only available in our lounge during select times) are $5 wines by the glass. These include 14 Hands Riesling, Eddie Merlot’s Chardonnay, Ravenswood Petite Sirah, Nederburg Shiraz, Snoqualmie Merlot and Hara Cabernet Sauvignon.

Our lounge menu is available every day in our lounge, but hours are limited. Generally speaking, you can dine in our lounge on this menu early evenings and late nights. It’s great for unwinding after a long day – or week – and for a last stop night cap.
