Facebook is becoming much more than a place to see what your high school friends are doing these days. It’s becoming the place where we learn about brands that we buy and businesses that we visit and patronize. If you watch industry trends, you’ll see people actually conducting business on Facebook, including opening up Facebook stores (retailer JCPenney notably).
We can’t sell you a steak through Facebook. Trust us. Bad idea. But we’re seeing more and more traffic these days on our Facebook page, so we decided to provide a new service to our fans on Facebook. We’ve added a reservation service to our Facebook presence that will allow you to click your way to a table reservation simply and easily without leaving Facebook.
Once you go to our Facebook page (linked above), hit the “like” button with the thumbs-up drawing at the top of the page. If you’ve previously done that, you don’t have to do it again. Then look on the left-hand side of the page. You’ll see Reservations with a star beside it. Click on that.
Clicking on reservations will take you to a page where you can choose one of five locations from a pull down menu. Like this:
After you’ve made your choices, hit the red “find a table” button and Facebook hooks up with OpenTable.com to create your reservation with us. It’s simple, and the entire process shouldn’t take more than a few minutes at the most.
If you’ve got questions, please post those in the comments. We will be more than glad to help. And of course, try it out! Let us know what you think. You can still make reservations through our web site – very similar process – if that’s your preference, or by phone.
Looking forward to seeing you soon!
