Every year, the holidays arrive before most folks have had time to really give it much thought. And of course, everything happens at once.
It’s a steady march from Halloween to Thanksgiving, and an all-out sprint from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day. We receive a wonderful treat in November and December: the pleasure of your company, and usually in droves. We love to accommodate our guests, but we’re a little sad when we can’t give everyone their first choice of dates, which sometimes happens during our busiest season.
We recommend, highly in fact, getting ahead of it all – and calling us now. It’s a lot quieter now than it will be in two months, and if you make your holiday plans now, you’ll have your holiday party completely planned when everyone else is panicking. You’ll look like a smart host or savvy hostess who knows how to entertain in style – when all you really knew was the phone number to your local Eddie Merlot’s!
We book record numbers of group gatherings from Thanksgiving to New Year’s. We receive lots and lots of calls from our clients in December wanting space for their party. Booking early gives you those choice dates.
Let’s talk dates this year. Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 24. That leaves three weekends (December 3 and 4, 10 and 11, and 17 and 18) that are not taken up by a major holiday. Most hosts won’t want to schedule any type of corporate event on Dec. 24 and 25, so that takes away a weekend for business and professional events. Taking away Thanksgiving weekend, too, that leaves roughly three prime weekends for business events, family gatherings and personal parties. You can bet they’ll book fast.
We also have a very popular option that only comes along once a year: lunch. We’ll start on November 28 and offer our last lunchtime availability on December 23. We can host your business lunches as well as special work events and parties during daytime hours, giving us more availability that helps us accommodate all of our guests.
People love to come to Eddie Merlot’s for special events. That’s because we have great food, but also because we take care of everything. You tell us your budget, and we’ll propose a menu to you, and all you have to do is approve it. We’ll help you greet your guests, hang up their coats and even valet park their cars. And when it’s all said and done, we’ll clean up – leaving you just as relaxed as your guests.
