We’re so pleased to see more positive reviews of our newest location in Burr Ridge, Illinois, which just opened in late 2011. These reviews were posted on Trip Advisor.
There are lots (and lots!) of places around the web to post reviews these days. Here’s a quick guide if you’d like to tell your friends and family what you thought of your visit to Eddie Merlot’s – or any other place, for that matter.
Facebook added a review feature in 2011. If you go to our Facebook page, look on the right-hand side and you’ll see a spot for recommendations. Write yours right there and post it, and your friends will see it (and we will see it, too). If you choose the public option, everyone who has “liked” Eddie Merlot’s on Facebook will see it, too. You can also choose to keep it private among your own networks. Either way is OK with us.
Yelp allows users to check in when they visit a place (at least in the iPhone app – Blackberry users do not have that option). We have Yelp profiles for all of our locations. You can add your own thoughts at any one of our six locations. We’re happy to see reviews there and often take the tips and thoughts back to our managers and staff. Reviews tend to be detailed and informative.
Foursquare allows users to check in, and you can post short tips. You can’t give stars or a numerical rating, but you can at least post tips about what you liked at a particular place – all of our locations included.
Google Places is another spot where users can post reviews. There’s also lots of information on Google Places about hours, web site and other helpful tips, but we didn’t post any of it, so make sure you check before relying on information there.
We accept reservations through OpenTable, and our patrons review us there, too. Urbanspoon offers its members the chance to post reviews. And there are lots more local sites in the cities we serve that allow local residents to post.
Lastly, if you’re seeking to connect with us, we’ve got a strong presence on Facebook and we’re happy to see you there, answer questions and chat with foodie friends. You can also find us on Twitter at @eddiemerlots. Come say hi!
