Each year, we go to several of the most important food events in the country. We went to the National Restaurant Association show in May in Chicago. Right now, we’re enjoying many foodies’ number one annual destination: Aspen Food & Wine Classic. Bruce Kraus, our Director of Operations, and Tony Dee, our Executive Chef of the Indianapolis location, will be there representing us, learning more about food, trying lots of new tastes and seeing new equipment demonstrations.
For those who love food, there’s not much better. (You can see a full schedule here.) There are dessert extravaganzas, wine tastings, food tastings, seminars on how to improve restaurant operations and cooking demonstrations on every type of cuisine you can imagine. Even just visiting the Grand Tasting Pavilion, which has food and equipment vendors from all over the country, is a great time, as you wander around sampling some of the country’s best foods and getting a feel for the next big foodie trends.
We’re sure to see lots of folks we know from the restaurant trade, and we always look forward to that. We plan to bring back our increased food knowledge to you, with lots of ideas, techniques and thoughts for the future.
