Cork and Pork event set for Fort Wayne

Executive Chef Matt Nolot

Next week, our Eddie Merlot’s in Fort Wayne, IN, is hosting a fundraiser and all-around great party for Veggie U. Fort Wayne Executive Chef Matt Nolot has put together a great event called Cork and Pork, and he’s invited four other area chefs to join him.

Cork and Pork will be held in a tent outside Eddie Merlot’s. With the gorgeous weather we usually get in September, this should be a mighty fine time. The event is set for Thursday, Sept. 20, beginning with cocktails at 6 p.m.

Chef Matt is getting a whole pig and dividing it into five parts. Each chef will draw to see which one gets which part, and they will center their course around whatever part they get.

The Cork and Pork event is limited to 35 people, and we’ve already sold 10 tickets, so these will likely go fast. We’ll sell tickets by phone through next Wednesday, September 19, or until tickets are sold out. Tickets are $96 each, and include wine and other beverages from the bar, along with a five-course meal.

In addition to Chef Matt, the other chefs participating are:

Aaron Butts, Restaurant Executive Chef, Joseph Decuis

Matt Rogers, Chef de Cuisine, 800 Degrees

Dan Saurer, Executive Chef and Owner, Friendly Fox

Brian Shreffler, Executive Chef, Chops Wine Bar

Want to join us? Call us at (260) 459-2222 and buy a ticket over the phone. It will be a fun, casual event and a perfect evening out, all for a good cause.
